Abstract Research that has examined the relationships between Internet gaming disorder (IGD) and personality traits been limited by use of instruments based on inappropriate criteria. Furthermore, have seldom studied concurrently, precluding an examination relative importance each trait in predicting IGD. The current study aimed to address those limitations concurrently examining Big Five Personality Factors, sensation seeking, impulsivity, aggression, as potential predictors Participants were a convenience sample 123 gamers (57.7% females). A hierarchical multiple regression was conducted with age gender Step 1 2. results showed only impulsivity significantly predicted Limitations include conceptualization negative construct unreliability openness experience subscale. Future research directions using core characteristic individual examine its interaction range affective cognitive factors.
